From within the stone edifice, the priest receives the light of the soltice in an ancient culture. The light of the great Creator is shown in the gold squares descending from above. To the left are the spirals that are called "Pacha Mama" in Peru, or Mother Earth, the center of the Incan religion. The Incan guide, on our visit to Peru, showed us that if you lift the center of the spiral it becomes the pathway to heaven. For me, it is a symbol of the journey to the center of being.
